Discourse study of paraphrastic rephrasing marks in conversation

The present work corresponds to a discursive study of reformulation markers, to study paraphrastic reformulation formulas, to analyse connectors in eight interactions present in the GestINF Corpus and to verify the relationship between informative configuration and linguistic structuring in the interactions studied. Specifically, we analysed the use of connectors and markers which reformulate an idea with other words, without changing its meaning, and which help advance the text. The analysis is completed with a quantitative evaluation of the reformulation markers in each interaction studied. The results show that the marker “o sea” is the most frequently used both in its explanatory form and its function as an expansionary connector and that this frequency is independent of the academic level of the participants in the interaction. Likewise, in the recapitulation function, the marker “vamos” is the most common in the corpus studied. It is concluded that both markers and paraphrastic reformulation connectors clarify the information given in the first statement, through summary, explanation, and argumentation, being able to partially or reformulate the text.References
